Are these Tesla numbers real?

Did Tesla sell 35,000 Model 3s in Germany in 2021? The year-end numbers in the US aren’t quite out yet, but if this is the case, Tesla is likely to have sold more Model 3s in Germany in 2021 than any manufacturer sold any individual EV in the entire United States in all of 2021. From Inside EV:

It’s even more wild that the Model S outsold the Nissan LEAF. The LEAF is a phenomenal car. Anyone should be thrilled to own one. It’s no Tesla but it’s sweet.

It can’t help that Tesla built an excellent nationwide fast charging network while, comparatively, the competing options are barely average at best.

So what is happening? Is the EV market becoming Tesla or bust? Are EV driver demographics skewing even more wealthy than previously believed? Are drivers going “car-poor” and spending more than they can afford just to drive a Tesla? Why won’t any other manufacturer take any time to learn what Tesla does right and why and then replicate it?
